USC will win the National Championship

For the record... I'm going with USC vs Oklahoma for the National Championship game this year and USC winning it all.

I'm also going with todays games...

USC over Virginia 37-13
Alabama with the upset over Clemson 27-24

Who gives a shit – TEMPLE WINS IT’S OPENER AGAINST ARMY.

Not sure what that says – Temple getting better or our Army is in bad shape.

WE’RE IN THE HUNT BABY

What is Temple's mascot? The Spotted Owls? There are some wierd ones out there, what is your wierdest?

Oh, excuse me, we were talking about real football.

Based on the USC performance today, I will agree with burner. We will see for sure in two weeks.

Univ Washington is awful. Oregon doesn't look much better. Kal looks good.

Not spotted Owl – just Owls. On the other hand -- Spotted Owls were declared an endangered species 20 years ago and even though they’ve been protected by law against lumberjack protests -- they’re still in decline today– so – maybe we are spotted owls.

So much for Clemson's title hopes... after the first game. That's what happens when you read your own press. Clemson was a the trendy pick for actually playing in the title game vs Ohio St. This had upset written all over it against Nick Saban. Alabama destroyed Clemson 34-10. The opening kickoff the 2nd half was returned for a TD by Clemson so it was even more dominating than that. All of the sudden Alabama is now a team to reckon with.

• Alabama had 80 snaps to Clemson's 48 and held the ball for 41:13.

• Alabama ran the ball 43 times without losing a yard, a streak that lasted into the game's 52nd minute. The Tide finished with 239 rushing yards on 50 carries.

• Alabama committed no turnovers and forced two.

• Alabama held a Clemson rushing game featuring James Davis and C.J. Spiller to zero rushing yards.

• Tide quarterback John Parker Wilson, rarely pressured, completed 22 of 30 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns.

USC was far more dominant offensively than I thought. You knew their defense would be dominant but if the offense plays like that then tOSU is in trouble in 2 weeks. Basically, if USC scores 20 in any game this year... they win.

I would love to see USC vs Alabama for the Championship game. It's unlikely though. As long as Bama beats Florida and Auburn I'll be happy.

LA Writer says:

The only way Bama will beat Florida is in the SEC Championship game since they don't meet up during the regular season. Tebow and company racked up 56 points by the end of the 3rd quarter without Percy Harvin and without Brandon Spikes. If they meet in the SEC playoff, Bama better come ready to play.
